GWPSA is using a number of knowledge products (information briefs, animations, checklists, slideshows, glossaries and infographics) in providing an easy understanding of “investing in the management and development of shared water courses”. The knowledge products also set out key messages advocating for more investments in the management and development of shared water courses. This is to ensure improved water security and climate resilience through strengthening cross-sectorial national engagement to integrate water issues into socio-economic development and climate change adaptation processes.

The fifth National Training Workshop related to the implementation of the WACDEP Capacity Development Programme on the “Economics of Adaptation Water Security and Climate Resilience Development” was held in Maputo-Mozambique on the 09 - 10 April 2015, at the National Director of Water Affairs (DNA) premises. The opening was done by the Deputy National Director for Water, Mr. Hélio Banze.

February 2, 2015 – Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched a campaign today to maintain a dedicated water goal on the UN post-2015 development agenda.

A presentation on “Financing water resources management and development for River Basin Organisations” was made during the 6^th   RBO Workshop held 15^th to the 17^th of October 2014 at Birchwood Hotel, Johannesburg. The presentation is based on 13 country studies on “Financing Water Resource Management in SADC” which was commissioned by the SADC/GIZ Transboundary Water Resources Management Programme, to deepen the understanding of investments in water resources management and development and to create arguments to increase these investments in SADC countries.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) conducted a special session on ‘Conversion and Conveyance of Limpopo Basin Development Challenge (LBDC) Research results’. The session was held on the 29th October 2014, during the 6th WaterNet/WARSFA/GWPSA Symposium, in Lilongwe, Malawi.

GWP's Executive Secretary, Dr. Ania Grobicki spoke during the official opening of the 6th “WACDEP Technical Coordination Workshop” held from the 15th -19th September 2014 at Meikles Hotel, Harare, Zimbabwe. The workshop was hosted by the Zimbabwe Country Water Partnership (ZCWP), under the patronage of Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Climate, Zimbabwe.

The “Financing of sustainable water resources management and development: economics, financing opportunities and project preparation” is the focus of high-level regional training and knowledge exchange in Pretoria, South Africa from the 21st -24th July 2014. 27 Delegates from African countries and River Basin Organisations working in the water sector are meeting to increase their knowledge and skills, to attract investors and financial development partners for both water governance and water infrastructure development.
