Dina Ramaromandray has been working at the Ministry of Water, Energy and Hydrocarbons as a lawyer since December 2014. She is working on the legal framework and the implementation of the New Energy Policy for 2015-2030 (NPE). She was assigned at the Studies and Planning Department, where she dealt with energy planning and strategies in general. She is currently the Director of Legal Affairs.
In addition, she is a member of the Groupe de Reflexion sur l'Energie (GRE), a focus group on energy which gathers all experts of the energy sector. In 2016, with the support of the GRE, she co-founded a movement called "Malagasy Youth Against Climate Change" that wants to involve young Malagasy people in the process of tackling climate change. She has a great knowledge of the energy policies in Madagascar and is very familiar with the legal and regulatory aspects of that field. She was rewarded by the Africa-EU Energy Partnership for her work as a young leader in energy access in March 2017 and was selected for the Mandela Washington Fellowship in 2017-2018. For the time being, Dina wants to gather more people, including both policy makers and young people, to find adaptive strategies to fight against climate change using the Water-Energy-Food nexus approach.
