Leena Boodhoo is the Youth Director of Halley Movement. She is responsible for monitoring and implementing youth projects within her NGO. Halley Movement, which is a registered non-governmental organisation in Mauritius, is actively involved in community based programmes focussing on children, girls young people and women at a national level. She has participated in forums at national, regional and international level, where feedback was sought after their actions related to research, advocacy and lobbying activities. She has been a speaker on various occasions on themes related to education, internet safety, entrepreneurship, food security and climate change, among others. She is conversant both in English and French. As a representative of young people from Mauritius, Leena wishes to take forward the SDGs agenda by empowering people with skills and knowledge.
