Shamiso Kumbirai is a Civil Engineer in hydropower and the 2018 South African Young Engineer of the Year. She works with the purpose of removing water as a development constraint and harnessing its potential to power Africa. She serves as an advocate for promoting and advancing African youth and women in STEM to capacitate the technical needs required for infrastructure development in the SADC region.
