The purpose was to bring together key stakeholders from sectors: hydrological institutes, water management agencies and agriculture sector, and identify where IWRM approaches fit into sectors’ plans. Also, GWP CACENA informed SDC about the CCA and IWRM initiative.
The workshop was consisted of three sessions:
1) “Scientific”: addressing to specific topics of adaptation to answer question “HOW?”
2) “Implementation” of climate change adaptation program – possible ways for GWP CACENA to answer questions: “WHAT? WHO? WHEN?”
3) Partnership and cooperation
In the result of two days discussions there were agreed the following joint points for cooperation between SDC and GWP CACENA within the agenda of Adaptation to Climate Change:
