Review Session on Engaging Youth and Children Innovators in Change for Sustainable Future in Water and Climate

The Programme of Engaging Youth and Children Innovators in Change for A Sustainable Future in Water and Climate, implemented by GWP China and jointly supported by UNICEF China and GWPO, will conclude with a grand completion ceremony on January 23, 2025.

This pioneering initiative has made a significant impact at international conferences and has extended its influence through the GWP IWRM Action Hub and other digital platforms. The programme has successfully engaged and empowered youth to address the pressing global water and climate crises. It aimed to illuminate the innovative approaches adopted by young pioneers in diverse contexts and has been a staunch advocate for their participation and contributions.

During the review session, we will share the innovators' practices and experiences, including the outcomes presented at the Dushanbe Water Conference, which emphasized the pivotal role of youth in driving change and underscored the potential of innovative, effective, and environmentally friendly solutions.

The upcoming event will also delve into other activities of the programme and celebrate the innovative solutions proposed by our young leaders. Additionally, we will discuss accessible platforms and potential streams of digital space that can further engage youth and children in these critical issues.

The completion ceremony will be jointly organized by GWP China, GWPO, UNICEF, the CAREC Institute, the Asian Development Bank, and the Poverty Reduction and Regional Cooperation Fund. Let us continue to inspire and support the next generation in their efforts to create a sustainable future.
