The founding of the Marine Professional Committee notified the bridge of the private and public sector upon the thematic collaboration. The ceremony invited CAI Qihua, Regional Chair of GWP China, WANG Hao, Executive Vice Chair of GWP China and academician of the CAE Member, CAO Zhu'an, former Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology and professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University, JIANG Yunzhong, member of the 14th National People's Congress and Secretary General of GWP China, LIU Ang, Deputy Secretary General of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and LIU Guangyang, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Dapeng New Area of Shenzhen Municipal.
CAI Qihua
In her speech, CAI Qihua shared information and value of GWP China. She said GWP China is one of the thirteen regional partnerships of GWP at the global level. It is also a new type of think tank with great influence at home and abroad and a platform for foreign cooperation and exchange. As a national "two mountains" (Clear waters and green mountains are as good as mountains of gold and silver.) practice and innovation base, Dapeng New Area is a development highland in the eastern part of Shenzhen, and has a very broad development prospect in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao. The Marine Professional Committee relies on the advantages of natural resources in Dapeng New Area, gives full play to the academic leadership, strategic support, platform cohesion, and international influence of GWP China, and helps the New Area continuously achieve new results in high-quality development.

According to LIU Ang, Deputy Secretary General of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, under the leadership of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Government, Dapeng New Area seized the opportunity, rose from the mountains, ran towards the sea, and forged ahead towards a practical innovation benchmark of "two mountains". The Professional Committee gathering experts, scholars, and outstanding talents can help Dapeng decision-making, deployment, reference, and professional technical support for its economic and social development. It would also inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of Dapeng New Area, and contribute wisdom to Shenzhen's efforts to accelerate the building of a more globally influential economic center city and a modern metropolis.
LIU Guangyang
On behalf of Dapeng New Area, LIU Guangyang, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Dapeng New Area of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, said Dapeng is fully accelerating high-quality development strategically, striving to create a practical innovation benchmark of "two mountains" in a sustainable way. The Marine Professional Committee convenes intelligent and multiple-stakeholders to maintain a green and environment-friendly Dapeng.
The MoU was signed between GWP China and Dapeng New Area Authority of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. The Marine Professional Committee of GWP China is hosted and run by China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and settled in Dapeng New Area of Shenzhen Municipal.
After the ceremony, it organized 'two mountains and sustainable development of Shenzhen Municipal' roundtable salon. The Salon was formed by Academician Wang Hao and Jiang Yunzhong, Secretary General of GWP China, Sun Jun, Dean of the Oceanographic College of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Zheng Guo, a professor at the School of Public Management of Renmin University of China, among other experts, focused on the key content of "two mountains" practice innovation, cultural tourism, and high-quality development of the ocean in Dapeng New Area.
Moderated by Yu Lu, Vice President of Shenzhen Urban Planning and Design Institute. the Salon was conducted with comprehensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions, interaction after gathering guests and scholars to brainstorm ideas and suggestions for accelerating high-quality development in Shenzhen and Dapeng New Area.
