GWP China Shaanxi pro-actively involved in order to assist in providing water security as water resources are declining. This Conference aimed at sharing the progress in water supply implementation in the Shaanxi countryside and to show a rural model school with a water saving, ecological campus involving their 13-14 year old students. Among 109 participants were sectors of education and the Provincial Women’s Federation.
Interactions and discussion resulted in a direct outcome: Education and Water Resources Departments of Shaanxi Province decided to cooperate and to improve the water supply for 10 junior middle schools in 2010 as a first step in a long-term cooperation.
