The session was chaired by Zheng Rugang, Secretary General and Coordinator of GWP China Region. The first part was the presentation of Liu Jinchun, the Deputy Director of Longyan Municipal Water Resources Bureau who presented the integrated management measures and achievements of water resources in Longyan City, Afterward, Zheng Rugang introduced the 2014 - 2019 Strategy and main events taking place in 2014. The representatives of provincial/river basin water partnership secretariats also brief their plans and activities in 2014. The programme of "Water, Climate and Development" was majorly discussed, regarding its current progress, planned activities, budget and expected outcomes. At the meeting, representatives of the Secretariat for the exchange and discussion of issues encountered in the work. They also made some recommendations to the future development strategy at both regional and provincial levels. The Regional Secretariat called provincial/river basin water partnership to implement the activities planned this year and to be actively involved in the implementation of "water, climate and development projects."
