On Feb. 19, 2014, Dr. Christopher George, the Executive Director of International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) visited the Secretariat of GWP China with the aim of learning about the administrative operation and cooperation ways between GWP China and its host institute, the IWHR. The IAHR is managed to set up its office under the host institute (HI) of IWHR in Beijing in 2015. In addition to its centre in Madrid, the IAHR plans to expand its development scope, including in Asia and other regions, the cooperation with the IWHR is its first step of expansion. Mr.Zheng Rugang, the Coordinator of GWP China, introduced to him the cooperative relationship between the GWP China and its HI as far as the administrative aspects are concerned and also the other information about GWP China. Mr. George expressed his willingness of developing interactive activities with GWP China as long as the IAHR centre is established in Beijing.
