Participating in DFID’s Roundtable Meeting on Sustainable Development

The China Office of UKDFID organized a Roundtable Meeting on Sustainable Development on October 26, 2010 in Beijing.

The meeting invited the representatives of the relevant organizations to introduce and discuss China’s recent activities on forestry, agriculture and water in the context of sustainable development and implications on the rest of the world and also explore new opportunities and ways of cooperation in coming years.

The total number of representatives is around 20 coming from World Bank, WWF, IUCN, China Agriculture University, GWP China, Oxfam and the DFID Headquarter and China Office.

On the invitation of the DFID, Mr. Zheng Rugang, Coordinator of GWP China, as one of the discussants, introduced the main issues of water resources management in China. Mr.Zheng also thanked DFID for its great support to GWP China’s activities in the past and expressed the wish to further the cooperation between GWP China and DFID in the future.
