Around 70 representatives participated in the meeting and listened annual work report of GWP China Hunan in 2013. According to the report, GWP China Hunan, jointly with other provincial/river basin partnerships and its partners, completed all planned activities and achieved annual targets of 2013 .
During the workshop, Associate Prof. Chang Liuhong form Changsha Engineering University presented a keynote speech on making water-eco civilization progress and Prof. Li Guiyuan from Hunan Provincial Water Resources Research Institute also made a keynote speech on standardization of small farmland water works construction and ecosystem. Then,the representatives of Changsha and Chenzhou water bureaus introduced the practices in their respective cities on promoting water-eco civilization progress. The workshop was concluded with common understanding that more importance should be played on urban water-eco civilization progress along with the rapid urbanization and economic development and that the practical plans should also be made for urban water-eco civilization progress.
Workshop on Theory and Practice of Water-eco Civilization Progress
The Workshop was held in chenzhou, Hunan Province on January 17, 2014. Mr. Zheng Rugang, Coordinator of GWP China was invited to the workshop. Before the workshop, the report on the work in 2013 completed by GWP China Hunan was made by Mr.Liu Siyuan, Vice Chair of GWP China Hunan.
