Eng. Kelvin Chitumbo is the Director of the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) in Zambia. He is a water regulation expert with more than 15 years of experience in water utility regulation and reform, policy development, restructuring, financing and services provision.
His previous experience as Chief Inspector for Zambia’s water supply and sanitation services, Director of Engineering Services at Kabwe Municipal Council, and as an engineer for the energy industry supporting the mines in Zambia contributed to his expertise in water and sanitation reforms and development, water resources management, contracts management, infrastructure maintenance management, financial management, project management, training, and general administration. Engineer Chitumbo holds an MSc degree in Strategic Management, an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and Heriot-Watt University, and a BEng Degree–Civil from the University of Zambia. He is working on a Doctorate of Business Administration with Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
