Ms. Nyongwana is a young professional at Global Water Partnership Southern Africa and supports the Climate Resilience Team to mobilize financial and technical resources to enable countries to develop and implement projects and strategies with a water security component that builds climate resilience.
Prior to joining GWPSA, Ms. Nyongwana worked as a Sustainability Researcher at WWF SA, where she was involved in conducting research on sustainable finance in the Agriculture and Water context of Southern Africa. She holds a BSc in Agribusiness and MSC in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security and was also involved with the Development Bank of Southern Africa as a masters’ student researcher focusing on the Financial Mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. She has also worked with South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal provincial Department of Agriculture as an Agricultural Economist and with GIZ on the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme.
