Laura Danga holds a Master of Science Degree (MSc.) in Water Resources Management from the University of Pretoria, Laura is South African and has over 10 years' professional experience as a Water Resources Management Specialist. She is currently a Program Coordinator for the Continental Africa Water Investment Program (AIP) in Botswana under the Country Water Partnership for the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa. She is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing the AIP program portfolio in Botswana, including the overall project coordination. Her key focus areas are the GCCA+ & IWRM, SDG 6.5.1, and the WEF Nexus Projects; while ensuring gender integration in the overall program. Laura is also responsible for ensuring that the implementation of new and ongoing projects is aligned with the AIP program portfolio in Botswana. In addition, she will ensure that AIP implementation leverages new and ongoing projects and programs that are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the AIP Botswana and GWP Botswana.
She believes in teamwork and sharing responsibilities and has a strong motivation to produce the best quality outputs. Laura envisages that with her expertise in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and participation in GWPSA's programs, she will be empowered to continually apply her acquired knowledge in advancing water security both in Botswana and internationally.
