The key activity currently underway in Zambia is the implementation of the Continental Africa Water Investment Programme (AIP) through the AIP Water, Climate, Development, and Gender Investments (WACDEP-G) Programme, which will ensure that the preparation, development, design, governance, and management of ongoing and new climate resilient water infrastructure investments, institutions, and job creation interventions strategically advance gender equality. As part of AIP implementation in Zambia, the partnership is also supporting the Zambian government in developing the country’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP), through a US$2.2 million grant from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme. Read more.
