CWP-Kyrgyzstan has completed the implementation of the project “Contribution to the creation of a regional center for training and advanced training of specialists in the economic and financial aspects of IWRM in Central Asia” with the financial support of the USAID Regional Project “Water and Environment.”
CWP-Kyrgyzstan’s experts developed 9 training modules on economic and financial water resources management tools for undergraduates, students, graduate students, and water management specialists in the Kyrgyz Republic and Central Asia.
To present and disseminate the results of the project “Contribution to the creation in Central Asia of a regional center for training and advanced training of specialists in the economic and financial aspects of IWRM,” CWP-Kyrgyzstan participated in the 4th meeting of the National Intersectoral Committee of Kyrgyzstan held on 14 September 2023 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and in the 5th meeting of the regional coordinating committee of the USAID regional project on water resources and the environment held on 26 September 2023 in Khiva (Uzbekistan).
These events were organized by USAID and attended by the national intersectoral working group, USAID regional and country offices, and USAID Regional Water and Environment Project Team, and attended by USAID Mission in Central Asia, representatives of ministries/departments of water resources, environment, agriculture, ministries of foreign affairs and research institutions.
CWP-Kyrgyzstan Chairperson Kasiet Musabaeva introduced the participants to the goals, objectives and results of the project “Contribution to the creation in Central Asia of a regional center for training and advanced training of specialists in the economic and financial aspects of IWRM.”
