World Toilet Day 2019

World Toilet Day is celebrated worldwide on 19 November every year. The day is about inspiring action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and help achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, which promises sanitation for all by 2030.

The World Toilet Day 2019 theme is "Leaving no one behind". This aims to draw attention to the people who are being left behind without sanitation, and the social, economic and environmental consequences of inaction.

On the UN-Water website for the day, you will find more information on events, as well as a wide range of resources to support the theme of this year's World Toilet Day.

Looking back to World Toilet Day 2018, GWP invited Kanika Thakar - the founder of #ToiletTalk - to a Facebook Live interview. She talked about her passion to change the way the world values and talks about toilets. Watch her full interview in the right-hand links.

This year, in the lead-up to the day, on Monday 18 December, GWP will hold a Facebook Live interview with  Senior Water Resources Management Specialist Ranu Sinha - details in the below image (click to enlarge).
