The GWPO Internship Programme has been indefinitely suspended for the year 2024. We regret to inform you that we will not be accepting any internship applications or hosting interns this year.

About GWP's Internship Programme
The GWP Internship Programme offers highly motivated young professionals an opportunity to gain exposure to the mission and operations of a global water action network. Successful candidates have the opportunity to achieve meaningful work experience in a related field of their study and the ability to apply their research skills and academic expertise to real on the ground projects being implemented across the globe. Internships can be based in Stockholm or remotely.
The GWP Internship Programme has two cohorts a year:
- Spring Internship, starts in March and applications open in January
- Fall Internship starts in September and applications open in July.
The length of the internship is a minimum of 4 months and maximum 6 months.
Eligibility

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an educational programme at the time of application, or be a recent graduate (within six months of application)

Applicants that are enrolledin a first degree or academicprogrammes should have completed at least twoyears of full-time study prior to their application to the internship.

Interest in Water Resources Management, any of GWP’s overall focus areas, environmental sustainability issues or in any other field related to the work of GWP

Below the age of thirty-five (35) years at the time of application.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages such as: French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese is desirable. Other skills such as computing skills are advantageous.

A stipend may be offered to interns to support the intern’s needs to meet subsistence costs and living expenses incurred during the time of their internship. GWP will offer no remuneration or any other financial support to meet expenses for travel to and within Stockholm, health/accident insurance, or related costs. This stipend will be dependent on funds available.
