Africa Climate Week 2020

Africa Climate Week 2020 was set to place on 20-24 April in Kampala, Uganda, however, in light of the Coronavirus crisis, the event has been postponed - a new date is yet to be announced. The theme remains “Partnering for transformation towards a low-carbon climate resilient and prosperous Africa: managing risks, seizing opportunities.”

The central objective of Africa Climate Week is to share ways for governments to implement the Paris Agreement in Africa, making use of all the planning tools and support available under the Paris Agreement.

Africa Climate Week 2020 is inclusive and open to all stakeholders, as a ‘go-to’ hub to build partnerships and to showcase groundbreaking action in the region. The event will be steered by an inter-ministerial committee, led by the Prime Minister of Uganda.

Full details are available on the UNFCCC event website - please also check it for updates on dates.
