The 11th Petersberg Climate Dialogue

The 11th Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD) is held as a video conference on 27 and 28 April. The United Kingdom, as President of the next Climate Change Conference (COP 26), co-chairs the PCD. The event focuses on sustainable recovery after the current health crisis.

At the invitation of German Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze, ministers of 30 countries and high-level government officials discuss which measures could pave the way for a green recovery from the economic crisis, which follows the COVID-19 pandemic.

The main event of this year's meeting is the high-level segment on 28 April. Participants will include UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel. It can be followed live from around 3:10 PM CEST at https://www.bmu.de/en/livestream.

Additional exchanges between non-state actors such as businesses, cities, NGOs and thinktanks, and between chief negotiators, also take place.

Full details are available on the event web page.
