A network of networks, we ensure the ‘voices of water’ can inﬂuence local, national, regional, and global development priorities. GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

Workshop on SDG indicator 6.5.2 on Transboundary Water Cooperation

The Asia Region Online Workshop Supporting the Monitoring and Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 6.5.2 on Transboundary Water Cooperation is held virtually on 17 September. GWP is one of the partners behind the workshop.

The event is convened by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the two co-custodian agencies of SDG 6.5.2 indicator, in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and GWP.

The main objective is to support countries in the “SDG Regions” Southeastern Asia, Eastern Asia, Southern Asia, and Oceania to collect, report and make use of data for the 2nd reporting exercise on SDG indicator 6.5.2 measuring progress on transboundary water cooperation.
