The event will bring together heads of state and government as well as leaders of international organisations, financial institutions, the business sector and NGOs, all ready to make commitments for concrete action to preserve and restore biodiversity.
Four key themes have been chosen:
- The protection of terrestrial and marine ecosystems;
- The promotion of agro-ecology;
- The mobilsation of funding for biodiversity; and
- The link between deforestation, species and human health
