GWP Regions

Improving the enabling environment for financing water security in the Asia Pacific region

Next out in the Learning Journey on Innovative Financing for Water Security through an IWRM Approach is a webinar focusing on improving the enabling environment for financing water security in the Asia-Pacific Region. The webinar is organised by the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme, on behalf of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), UNEP-DHI, GWP, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asia Pacific Water Forum (APWF).

In this webinar, participants will learn from key figures from the region on challenges that currently exist in financing water security. The webinar will share country experiences on how to use existing financial resources more effectively and efficiently through an IWRM approach, improve cost-sharing, and improve engagement between the public and private sectors in financing water security in the region.  Lastly, the webinar will present regional opportunities and approaches to improving the enabling environment for financing water security to increase public and private investments through exploring new ways and innovations.
