10th World Water Forum - Water for Shared Prosperity

The largest international gathering of water stakeholders, held every three years, the 10th World Water Forum - 'Water for Shared Prosperity' - will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from 18 – 25 May, as the culmination of a multi-annual political, thematic and regional preparatory process.

As the only global intergovernmental organisation solely focused on water, GWP will contribute to various strategic components of the Forum, to support tangible and integrated progress towards achieving GWP’s vision of a water secure world.

Led by GWP’s new Executive Secretary and CEO, Alan AtKisson, GWP’s carefully selected delegation of global and regional representatives, augmented by several members of GWP’s global Steering Committee, will contribute to the Forum through several high-level panels, thematic and regional sessions, as well as a number of side-events and bilateral conversations with key water stakeholders present in Bali.

Highlighting its integrated agenda, the GWP delegation will touch upon relevant themes of water allocations, water scarcity, financing and smart water management for climate resilience, transboundary water management for promoting peace, drought and early warning systems, among others. It will do so by sharing impact stories surfaced from its network of 3500 partners over the world, which will be further highlighted in sessions on the regional processes, to which GWP has contributed significantly and/or led in South-East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and the Caucasus, Central America, as well as in the African continent.
