GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

12th Roundtable on Financing Water

On 16-17 April, OECD and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) are co-convening the 12th Roundtable on Financing Water “Strengthening the sustainability of water investments: alternative financing approaches and models” takes place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The roundtable provides an occasion for key stakeholders to review and explore funding and financing models that can foster greater sustainability and resilience of water-related investments. As such, it is a key moment for water investments that will help inform the finance agenda of upcoming major international water events such as the UN 2026 Water Conference and the 11th World Water Forum.

Alex Simalabwi, CEO of the Global Water Partnership Organisation (GWPO) and Executive Secretary of GWP, will attend the meeting in person, and Colin Herron, GWP’s Senior Water Resources Management Specialist, and Nicolas Jarraud, Senior Specialist, Engagement & Partnerships Development will be participating online.

The roundtable is a key event for GWP that has a strong focus on financing climate-resilient water investments through the Global Transformation Agenda on Water Investments and other initiatives that aim to mobilise investments at scale.
