On May 23-25, 2017, the fourth south-south interregional water cooperation gathered GWP China, Central Asia and Caucasus, South Asia and South East Asia, four Regional Water Partnerships, in Pokhara, Nepal.

GWP South Asia, GWP and GWP Nepal in cooperation with the Geneva Water Hub and UNESCO-IHE are organising a regional workshop on Transboundary Water Cooperation in the context of the SDGs in South Asia and beyond in Pokhara, Nepal on 23 and 24 May 2017. Thereafter, an Inter-Regional Coordination Meeting will be held on the 25 May with the representation of the four Asian Regional Water Partnerships – Central Asia, China, South Asia and South-East Asia.
Farmer Managed Irrigation Systems (FMIS) Promotion Trust in collaboration with GWP Nepal/JVS organised the 7th International Seminar on ‘Irrigation in Local Adaptation and Resilience' on 11 and 12 April 2017 at Himalaya Hotel, Lalitpur, Nepal.

Sri Lanka Water partnership (SLWP) together with the Wetland Management Unit of Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Cooperation (SLLRDC) organised an Interactive seminar on Water and Wetlands for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to mark the World Water Day 2017 (WWD 2017).
India Water Partnership (IWP) in association with one of its network partners SM Sehgal Foundation supported by CAWST (Canada) organised a four day workshop-cum-training programme from 28 February to 3 March 2017 in Samastipur District of Bihar, India on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage (HWTS). The workshop raised awareness on issues around WASH and possible solutions and built capacities of the participants on HWTS. It assisted in establishing a stronger water network in Bihar by also including activists involved in other programmes.

A consultation meeting on Learning Deltas Asia Initiatives (LDAI), an Inter-Regional Collaboration between Global Water Partnership (GWP) South Asia and South East Asia was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 26 to 28 February 2017 with the participation of delegations of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
