The Global Water Partnership Organisation in Stockholm has a vacancy for an assistant position for the Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP).
Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) in collaboration with its partner the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) will engage technicians and practitioners in the Agriculture Sector from Barbados in a training workshop on Water Use Efficiency (WUE). The Toco Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in the north-east coast of Trinidad has been granted TT$17 million from the Green Fund of Trinidad and Tobago for an extensive rainwater harvesting (RWH) project.
The International WaterCentre’s (IWC’s) Masters Scholarships are now open to study the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management in Australia in 2013.
To inspire Caribbean journalists to report more on water, GWP Caribbean launched its first annual Media Awards on Water on 5 March 2012. The winner is Mr. Shane Hubbard, an Editor and Videographer from CNS TV6 in Guyana who produced a television piece under the theme “Water and Food Security”.
Former Editor and Videographer at CNS TV6 in Guyana, Mr. Shane Hubbard has claimed the top spot in GWP-C’s first Media Awards on Water. Entries by Ms. Veoma Ali, Regional Advertising Manager at One Caribbean Media Limited in Barbados and Mrs. Latoya Minott-Spence, Reporter and Producer at Television Jamaica were selected for Honourable Mention.
