On 29 November 2019, His Excellency Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, former President of Tanzania, officially took over the Chairmanship of Global Water Partnership Southern Africa and Africa Coordination Unit (GWPSA-ACU).

The media is invited to the Official Opening Ceremony of the workshop on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the West Conference Room, Kirani James Athletic Stadium, Queen’s Park, St. George’s. The opening features remarks from Mr. Titus Antoine, Director of Economic and Technical Cooperation (Ag.), as well as officials from the organising agencies, Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).

In Autumn 2019, GWP CEE and emerging young water leaders organized 8 National Dialogues between youth and decision-makers in 8 Central and Eastern European countries.

GWP wants to learn from its Partners about their experience and engagement with the GWP network. The INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "RATIONAL USE OF WATER RESOURCES - KEY FOR ACHIEVING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State Committee of Water Resources took place from 5-6 November 2019 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. GWP's new Strategy 2020-2025 was also launched at the event.
