Alan Hall Appointed Senior Advisor to GWP

After four years at the GWP secretariat in Stockholm, Alan Hall is leaving his position as Coordinator of Global Initiatives, but will continue as a Senior Advisor working from the U.K.

“Alan Hall’s knowledge and work has been of great importance for the GWP network. By appointing him as a Senior Advisor to GWP, we are making sure that Alan Hall will continue to contribute to GWP in the exciting and important new times we have ahead of us as we finalise and then implement our new strategic plan”, said Martin Walshe, GWP Acting Executive Secretary.

Alan Hall has more than 30 years of experience in development as a water sector and water policy specialist. His involvement in GWP started in 1997 with the development of the Framework for Action and has continued ever since, at first through the HR Wallingford Resource Centre and subsequently as a member of the Secretariat. He has participated in numerous task forces, most recently in the Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) for the World Water Week, and as a co-writer of the latest GWP TEC Paper on Water Financing and Governance (TEC Paper 12).
