GCWP Chair, Executive Secretary and National IWRM Focal point during the month of May 2018 have interacted with the Ministry of Water Resources on pending UN 1997 Transboundary Water Convention Ratification Bill for action.
The Department of Water Resources is mulling plans to set up a national framework for climate change services. Officials from regional and International partner organizations are currently took part in a consultative meeting on developing a harmonized framework to deliver prominent climate services.

Benin has established a Network of Professional Women in the Water and Sanitation Sector (RBFPEA) on 11 May 2018 in Cotonou to promote the involvement of professional women in the implementation of actions and projects and highlight their contribution to the development of the sector. CWP-Benin strongly supported the initiative.
