Investing in methods to manage water-related disasters and mitigate damage is essential to achieving SDGs and implementing IWRM.

The Country Water Partnership of Guinea (PNEGui) took part in the information and sensitization meeting of water stakeholders on the World Water Forum Dakar 2022 held in Conakry on March 04, 2021, under the chairmanship of Mr. Soufiana DABO, Coordinator of the OMVS (River Senegal Authority) Guinea.

The AMCOW Secretariat in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (Tanzania) will be holding the 6th Africa Water Week (AWW) and 10th General Assembly at Mwalimu Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 18^th-22 July, 2016 under the theme ‘Achieving the SDGs on Water Security and Sanitation’.   The Tanzania Water Partnership has been co-opted by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation as one of the lead institutions constituting the National Organizing Committee (NOC) for the 6th Africa Water Week. Several members of TWP are part of the NOC.

River Basin Management 2019 is the 10th Conference in a series which marks the growing international interest in the planning, design and management of river basin systems. The event will cover all aspects of Hydrology, Ecology, Environmental Management, Flood Plains and Wetlands. It takes place in Alicante, Spain.

GWP China and the World Resources Institute (WRI) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 2, 2017, in Beijing. Mdm Qihua CAI, Chair of GWP China, Prof. Yunzhong JIANG, Secretary General and the Secretariat officers visited WRI's office where had the MOU signing ceremony.

The global LET conference is about insights into how pioneering science, technological innovation and leading practices shape the major transformation in water management that is underway. It is held 27-31 May in Nanjing, China.

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is convening its working group on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and working group on Monitoring and Assessment under the Water Convention in a meeting on 26-28 April.

The Benin Country Water Partnership has started a process to establish local water committees (LWC) in micro basins as part of the Multi Year Programme 4 (MYP4) with the technical and financial support of Protos and the Belgian Development Cooperation.
