GWP WA strengthens partnership with IUCN and VBA

    IUCN-PACO organized from May 18 to 21, 2016 in Leo, Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the Volta Bassin Authority (VBA), and GWP / WA a workshop to develop the outline of the concept note on the conservation and restoring of conserving and restoring ecosystem functioning in the Volta basin.

    Fifth National Training Workshop on the “Economics of Adaptation Water Security and Climate Resilience Development held in Mozambique”

    The fifth National Training Workshop related to the implementation of the WACDEP Capacity Development Programme on the “Economics of Adaptation Water Security and Climate Resilience Development” was held in Maputo-Mozambique on the 09th - 10th April 2015, at the National Director of Water Affairs (DNA) premises. The opening was done by the Deputy National Director for Water, Mr. Hélio Banze.

    Innovative Approaches to Water and Climate Financing

    Building water security and climate resilience into development activities is key to achieving long-term sustainability, but requires much higher levels of investment than at present. This policy brief presents innovative approaches to financing, which are needed to make sufficient funding available. Policy briefs provide policy makers with information on water resources management. This brief was developed under the Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP).
