The 2023 International Women’s Day (IWD) theme is “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.” IWD is a Day that the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) values, as it provides one of many opportunities to celebrate the achievements of women in its network and to empower women and girls.
GWP-Central Africa joins the international community to celebrate the 2023 International Women’s Day commemorated under the theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.
This year’s theme seeks to recognize and celebrate the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. It also explores the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic and social inequalities. (UN Women)

Specifically, the challenge that the GCF Somalia Readiness project addresses is that of the insufficient technical and institutional capacity of the NDA to effectively oversee climate finance in the country.
