GWP’s VISION is a water secure world. Our MISSION is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development.

A network of networks, we ensure the ‘voices of water’ can inﬂuence local, national, regional, and global development priorities. GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

Sector Ministers’ Meeting

Under this year’s theme of ‘Building Forward Better for Recovery and Resilience’, the 2022 SMM – hosted by the Government of Indonesia – builds on previous SWA High-level Meetings. It provides a critical opportunity to forge links with other sectors, and prioritise water, sanitation, and hygiene across nationalpolicies. 

For the first time in an SWA High-level Meeting, the 2022 SMM will bring together ministers of water, sanitation, and hygiene, and their counterparts responsible for climate, environment, health, and the economy. It will provide a space for leaders around the world to meet and find innovative ways to work together to increase the political prioritization of water, sanitation, and hygiene and ensure the integration of these services in national climate, health, and economic policies and strategies. Delegations from the different SWA constituencies will also join the discussions.

Lesley Pories, GWP’s coordinator for the Global Water Leadership Programme, is co-leading the design and development of the event’s content. She occupies this role in conjunction with her role as Co-Chair for the SWA High-Level Political Dialogue Working Group.
