GWP’s VISION is a water secure world. Our MISSION is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development.

A network of networks, we ensure the ‘voices of water’ can inﬂuence local, national, regional, and global development priorities. GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

Now Available: GWP in Action 2017

The GWP Annual Report for 2017 – “GWP in Action 2017” – is available online. The report presents highlights from the entire GWP network. "The stories point in one direction: GWP is the multi-stakeholder partnership that delivers on SDG 6 implementation through an integrated approach to water resources management," says GWP Chair Oyun Sanjaasuren in her message in the report.

The report includes numerous examples that demonstrate the value of GWP’s multi-stakeholder approach and its ability to connect global with local processes. These successes are founded on GWP’s long-term relationships and the trust that has been built over the years with governments and institutions.

Support for mandated institutions at country level was at record high in 2017, with almost 100 national institutions receiving assistance in relation to governance processes such as implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), and access to climate finance. In 2017, GWP influenced more than 40 key water governance outcomes.
