GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

GWP Recruiting Four Interns to the Global Secretariat

GWP now has 4 internship positions open with the global GWP secretariat, to be remote-based or based in the office in Stockholm, Sweden. All positions start in September 2021 (flexible start date) and run 3 months minimum with extension possible up to 6 months. The deadline to apply is the same for all positions: Sunday 18 July.

The recruitment is part of GWP’s ongoing Internship Programme, which provides opportunities for students interested in sustainable development and water governance to gain work experience in the worldwide GWP network. Please note that GWP offers no remuneration or any other financial support for its interns.

The open internship positions are:

Youth Engagement and Communications

This intern will be part of the GWP Network Operations Unit as well as the Communications Unit. The tasks will include working on the revision of the Youth for Water and Climate Platform, which aims to connect youth with the relevant knowledge, financial and technical support for the implementation of youth-led water and climate projects. The candidate will also contribute to supporting GWPs annual Network Meeting and the launching of the redesigned IWRM ToolBox, an online platform with more than 85 tools on integrated water resources management. Global Processes, Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation

This intern will be part of the GWP Executive Secretary's Office, and he/she will support two workstreams: the recently launched Global Water Leadership Programme, and overall global development processes. The intern will be exposed to the process of implementing a multi-level (global, regional, country) programme on overcoming water resource management bottlenecks and supporting the emergence of water leadership. This intern will be part of the GWP Network Operations Unit, and in particular the team working with Water Solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He/she will assist the team in a wide variety of knowledge sharing, promotional and investment attracting activities for the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme. Get the full details and apply here.

Water, Food, Ecosystems for the SDGs

This intern will be part of the GWP Network Operations Unit, also in the team working with Water Solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He/she will support thematic work on food and ecosystems, as well as support regional SDG 6.5.1 activities through the GWP network. Get the full details and apply here.
