The SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme as implemented in Senegal through the "Initiative to support the acceleration of the implementation of the IWRM Action Plan - PAGIRE 2018-2030 of Senegal" by the MINISTRY OF WATER AND SANITATION through the Directorate of Water Resources Management and Planning (DGPRE) in collaboration with the Country Water Partnership of Senegal (PNES).

Aiming to foster youth involvement in the water and climate action in Mauritania, GWP-Med is organizing in collaboration with the Mauritanian NGO “AISER, Citoyenneté et Droits Humains” a training cycle composed of a series of three workshops targeting youth active in local NGOs. The workshops will be organized in the framework of the Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) implemented in Mauritania by GWP-Med. At the end of the training workshops, participants’ capacities are expected to be enhanced in relation to climate change risks evaluation, adaptation actions identification and projects proposals formulation and funds leverage.
“Access to water and climate information services: better understanding gender inequalities to strengthen women's decision-making power in Benin” is the topic of the training workshop on December 21-22, 2021, in Natitingou, Benin by the CWP and the WACDEP-G team.
GWP WA is a member of the UNEP-DHI/GWP-WA consortium in charge of the mission to support the establishment of the ECOWAS Regional Water Observatory. A workshop was held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on 4 & 5 September 2018 with country focal points on data collection.
The workshop to kick-off the regional Programme on advancing investment for Food and Nutrition Security (FNS)– in Water - Energy – Food – Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus in West Africa was held in Bamako, Mali from 11 to 13 December 2017.

In the face of profound global water challenges, on World Water Day 2018 five global multi-stakeholder partnerships representing business, governments, intergovernmental organisations, academia, and civil society organisations announced a new collaboration effort designed to accelerate progress toward ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation around the world. On 31 January 2019, the German, Czech and Slovak partners of Danube Floodplain project organized a one-day stakeholder consultation meeting held back-to-back with a workshop on ecosystem services. The event took place at the Research Institute of Water Management in Bratislava and brought together key stakeholders from Slovakia and Czech Republic, giving the project partners the opportunity to present and discuss Danube Floodplain project with stakeholders from various areas.
