The 2015 Working Conference and the Sub-regional Consultation Meeting of GWP China were organized on February 9 and 10, 2015 in Beijing.

The Ghana Country Water Partnership through WACDEP provided technical support to Water Resources Commission to hold a consultative meeting for stakeholders in the White Volta Basin, from 28th to 30th January 2015 at the Ex-Tee Crystal Hotel in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region. The aim of the meeting was to initiate the process to update the basin’s Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Plan after its preparation in 2008 to take into account the emerging issues in the basin, on the one hand, and to use the output as part of the input to the preparation of Investment Plan for the said basin, on the other hand.

The 3rd workshop of the Capacity Building Programme “The Economics of Adaptation, Water Security and Climate Resilient Development” took place in the framework of the Water, Climate, Development Program for Africa (WACDEP), in Hammamet, Tunisia, on December 22-25, 2014. The Programme is composed of a series of five workshop trainings that are following the framework cycle developed under WACDEP for water security and climate resilience.
The 7th edition of the World Water Forum, the largest regular interface of the global water community with an outreach to actors outside the water box, will convene on April 12-17, 2015 in the Republic of Korea. The dedicated Mediterranean Cross-Continental Process to coordinate and prepare the regional contribution and key messages for the World Water Forum is co-facilitated by the Mediterranean Water Institute (IME) and the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) and steered by a multi-stakeholder Committee involving national and regional water actors.
February 2nd, 2015 - The Global Water Partnership (GWP) has launched a campaign today, to maintain a dedicated water goal on the United Nations (UN) Post-2015 Development Agenda. All thirteen (13) Regional Water Partnerships of the GWP which includes, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), is a part of this global campaign.

The water sector stakeholders in Central Africa participated in a regional consultation meeting held in Douala, (Cameroon) within the context of the presentation of the Central Africa’s draft consultation report on “drinking water and sanitation for all”, for approval,in the preparation for the upcoming 7th World Water Forum.
