GWP was actively involved during the first week of the COP 26 climate summit in Glasgow – ensuring that delegates and other participants understand the critical priority of catalysing climate-resilient development, integrated resilience planning, and facilitating access to climate finance for investments in water. Jakarta - World Water Forum (WWF) Kick-Off Meeting was successfully held from 15-16 February 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center. This first stakeholders meeting facilitated several discussions on six topics of water management through thematic and regional processes. This event was attended by policy makers, academics, private sectors, practitioners, and associations operating in and related to the water sector.

Following the workshop to re-launch the PANGIRE Steering Committee held on August 17 and 18 in Cotonou, the Benin Water Directorate, with the technical and financial support of Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) and the Benin Country Water Partnership (CWP-Benin) through the Water, Climate, Development and Gender Equality Program (WACDEP-G), launched the work of the workshop of extended consultation of national actors for the assessment of the 2nd phase of the National Action Plan for Integrated Water Resources Management (PANGIRE) of Benin and Proposals of actions for the 3rd phase.
