To be the leading knowledge sharing platform that supports and connects water professionals in designing and implementing integrated water resources management (IWRM) action towards a water secure world.

The IWRM approach is relatively new in Niger and its implementation requires the information, sensitisation and organisation of the parties concerned at different levels (villages, Communes and sub-basin) for the setting up of appropriate bodies to protect and manage water resources with for the socio-economic development at the sub-basin level.

Validation workshop of the Pan-African Monitoring and Reporting System for the water and sanitation sector funded by the African Ministers' Council on Water and Sanitation (AMCOW). This activity was organized by the National Directorate of Water (DNH) of Guinea under the chairmanship of the director Mr. Mandiou Condé.

A consultation on priority issues in the water and sanitation sector was held on Friday 19 November in Conakry. Organized by the OECD Water-Sanitation Taskforce and the Arab Coordination Group (ACG), in partnership with the Ministry of Energy, Hydraulics and Hydrocarbons of Guinea, this meeting is a framework for stakeholders in the water and sanitation sector to express their views on the real issues and on the setting of several priorities in these areas.

A technical workshop to launch community-based flood and drought management initiatives at the Badara pilot site in the rural municipality of Bama, Hauts Bassin region of Burkina Faso was held on 16 November 2021.

The journalists who won Water and Environment journalism competition were given their prizes on November 4, 2021, in the meeting room of the GWP-WA Secretariat in Ouagadougou.

The WACDEP-G regional Project manager, Mr. Yaovi KOGBE made a follow-up mission in Cotonou, Benin from 9 to 12 November 2021. The mission helped in preparing the final activities of the year to be implemented in the country.

During the months of October and November, the National Directorate of Water (DNH) and the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Mali carried out planned activities as part of the implementation of the SDG 6 IWRM support programme in the country.

From Monday, October 25 to Saturday, November 05, 2021, the Country Water Partnerships of Senegal (PNES) in partnership with UNESCO and the Ministry of Water and Sanitation through its directorates, the DGPRE and the DPGI, organized a training session leading to a certificate on drone piloting. This session was held, alternating between theory and practice.
