Asia Pacific Water Forum (APWF), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Japan Water Forum will hold sessions during the Stockholm World Water Week 2019 (SWWW 2019) between 27-29 August 2019.
The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), with the support of the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) convened the 9 th SADC Multi-Stakeholder Water, Energy, Food (WEF) Nexus Dialogue from 26-27 March 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Capital on the Park Hotel.

In 2022, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), along with partner agencies, including the GEF CReW+, UNEP Caribbean Environment Programme and the Cartagena Convention Secretariat in collaboration with the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and Caribbean WaterNet (the Caribbean arm of Cap-Net UNDP), hosted the first-ever International Online Training Programme on the "Preparation of Shit Flow Diagrams (SFDs) for Caribbean Countries."
Since the beginning of November, the national portions of the Volta Basin have been hosting the data collection phase of the Flood and Drought Vulnerability and Capacity Mapping mission at the community level.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) has been supporting the European Union (EU) -supported Southern African Development Community (SADC) 'Water-Energy-Food ' (WEF) nexus project since July 2017. The two expected results of the project are to establish a SADC Regional WEF Nexus Framework; and develop a prioritised list of Nexus Investment Projects. To realise the result areas, the SADC member states workshop on WEF Nexus was held on the 25th March 2018, bringing together over 150 delegates from all SADC countries.

Trinidad and Tobago held a virtual consultation on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 6.5.1 – which tracks the degree of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) implementation. This is the first in a series of 60+ in-country consultations coordinated by GWP this year, in collaboration with the UNEP-DHI Centre and Cap-Net UNDP, under the guidance of the UN Environment Programme. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the planned workshops will be held online. “We firmly believe that an integrated approach to water resources management is needed now more than ever”, says GWP Senior Water Resources Management Specialist Colin Herron.
