The United Nations World Water Day is set for 22 March 2014. This year’s theme is Water and Energy.
The 5th Africa Water Week (AWW5) takes place in Dakar, Senegal on 26 to 31 May 2014. The event is convened by the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) in conjunction with the African Union Commission and organised with other development partners. GWP is involved in a number of activities.
GWP participates at the 2014 NAP Expo, taking place in Bonn, Germany on 8-9 August 2014. It is the second NAP Expo, organized by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) under the UNFCCC.
World Water Week 2014 takes place in Stockholm from 31 August to 5 September. This year’s theme is “Energy and Water”. Global Water Partnership will be involved in a number of activities during the week-long event.
The 6th edition of the European River Restoration Conference, integrated with the Final event of the SEE River project, will be held in Vienna.
In collaboration with the EU-funded Sustainable Water Integrated Management (SWIM) programme, the First Regional Conference of the UfM-labelled project “Governance and Financing for the Mediterranean Water Sector” will take place on 28-30 October 2014 in Athens, Greece. GWP Senior Network Officer Angela Klauschen is one of the panelists in the opening session of the Greening the Islands conference in Italy on 30-31 October. The theme of the conference is "Integrated Sustainability: Energy & Water for Islands and Remote Locations".
This conference takes place in East London, South Africa 3-7 November 2014. The programme includes a mixture of papers and parallel sessions with key stakeholders in policy and advocacy.
The 20th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 20) is held from 1 to 12 December in Lima, Peru. Representatives from GWP are present.
A training will be held by the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med), in partnership with the African Center for Training of Journalists and Communicators (CAPJC), and the Association Children of the Earth Network (ARET), on December, 23-24, 2014, in Tunis, Tunisia.
